Kate Bliss

Kate Bliss is an approved registered valuer with the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and a Fellow of the Gemmological Association of Great Britain. Born into a successful auctioneering business, she was immersed in the world of auctions from an early age and developed a lifelong fascination with the history and craftsmanship of beautiful objects.

A graduate of Brasenose College, Oxford, Kate went on to study fine art, specialising in jewellery and silver. With over 20 years’ experience in the fine art and antiques industry, she is highly knowledgeable across a wide range of categories including ceramics, furniture, textiles, paintings, and works on paper.

Kate is frequently seen on television as an expert valuer and presenter. She runs her own valuation practice, Kate Bliss Ltd, and also acts as a consultant to several UK auction houses. Her work takes her across her home county of Herefordshire, as well as to London and other parts of the UK.

Kate Bliss Ltd provides independent, specialist advice on the valuation of jewellery, fine art and antiques for purposes such as insurance, sale, probate (tax), or family division. The firm delivers bespoke inventories and valuations that are recognised by leading insurance brokers, His Majesty’s Revenue and Customs, and the legal profession.
